Survivors of Sexual Assault and Domestic Violence.
We are here when you need us. 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
The Crisis Intervention Services provides immediate crisis intervention services for domestic violence and sexual assault victims 24-hours a day, 7 days a week. Response Line Advocates and On Call Advocates are available to meet with victims at a safe location to provide tangible resources, or speak with them on the phone. Law Enforcement officers often offer Response Line services to victims they speak with and frequently call our Response Line from the scene of domestic violence and sexual assault crimes on the victim’s behalf.
A Response Line Advocate can provide assistance with:
accompaniment to hospitals, prosecutor and law enforcement offices and court;
immediate crisis shelter;
help securing the victim’s home
emergency financial assistance for food, bus fare, and supplies for babies and children;
access to the Emergency Temporary Protection Order (ETPO) process; and
next-day follow-up from a trained On Call Advocate.
Response Line Advocates can also assist law enforcement by answering questions about victim resources, protection orders, and other legal options for victims. Advocates collaborate closely with officers and the community to build awareness about services, and about domestic violence and sexual assault as a public safety issue.
Services are provided 7 days a week, 24 hours a day through the Toll Free Hotline: 866-333-5592. Services are also provided in the LCDVAP offices Monday - Friday 9:00 am - 5:00 pm.
